New suspension rules for 2011-12 Season

Right, this is a bit of a ball ache & I'm not entirely sure I understand all the rules but here goes:

  1. There is now no right of appeal unless you have video evidence (Seriously - not a joke).
  2. Suspensions are now done on a match ban rather than a days ban eg:
    • A 1-match ban
    • A 2-match ban
    • A 3-match ban
  3. Bans will commence 21 days after the sending-off. For example, somebody sent off on the 1st of the month would be able to play the next 2 games but would then be banned afterwards. The club secretary now needs to inform KCFA of the games the player will be banned from in advance (quite how this will work when fixtures are only released 1 week in advance nobody seems to have thought of).
  4. Getting banned on a sunday only bans you from sunday games - you can still play on a saturday
  5. Likewise, getting banned on a saturday only bans you for playing on saturdays, you can still play on sundays
That's the real biggies out of the way - I should mention also that fees for getting sent off have increased. So, the best course of action is not to get in trouble !
